Spiced Praline Meringues by Ottolenghi

Ingredients

50g blanched almonds or hazelnuts
300g caster sugar
25ml water
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
finely grated zest of 1 large orange (1 tbsp)
¼ tsp flaky sea salt
150g egg whites (from 4 large eggs)
